Summer Camp instructors
Great Beginnings Montessori (GBMS) offers week-long summer camps for children ages 2-9 starting at 8am and running through 4pm, Monday -- Thursday. We offer three camps:

Bumblebees(toddler ages 2-3); 2) Huckleberry Camp (preschool ages 3-6); 3) Field Camp with 1st - 3rd grade (ages 6-9).
We are hiring 6 summer instructors.
**Counselor internship available for high school students
**Instructors for the Bumblebee and Huckleberry Camp must be 18+
**Instructors for the Yurt Camp travel with the children (ages 1st - 3rd grade) for and must be 21+ and have an excellent driving record.
GBMS Summer Camps take advantage of Montana's beautiful weather while supporting our students' continuing academic and social development. With smaller, intimate groups, we're able to focus on building friendships, getting outside, supporting individuals, and offering plenty of fun! Each week focuses on fun activities blending environmental education, outdoor adventure, art, academics, and summertime play.
Essential Job Functions:
--Deliver a fun program to campers;
--A positive and enthusiastic attitude;
--During the program, instructors participate in classroom, outdoor, and recreational activities;
--Instructors assist with weekly themes, field trips, and nature-based activities.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Teachers, artists and outdoor educators are the strongest candidates. College graduates preferred, college and high school students ages 18+ considered.
• Experience working with PreK-3rd grade children;
• Demonstrated leadership experience;
• Flexible, trustworthy, creative and positive; someone who works well in teams.
• Energetic, organized, communicative, fun-loving, and a good problem-solver;
• Current certification required in First-Aid and CPR.
Duration: Weekly June -- August, Monday-Thursday, 7:45am - 4:15.
Day Camp starts June 14th and ends August 12th.
Salary range:$18/$20 hour, dependent on experience

Substitute Teacher(s)
Title: Substitute Teacher
Reports to: Assistant Head of School, Head of School
Overview: Great Beginnings Montessori School (GBMS), a nature-based Montessori School and summer camp in Bozeman for ages 2-6. GBMS has a 35-year-old history in the Valley and serves approximately 100 families in two locations. Our school uses the student-centered Montessori Method, an evidence-based approach to closing the opportunity gap and GBMS is an Associate School Member of the American Montessori Society.
As a local non-profit, our school is seeking substitute teachers to occasionally fill-in for teachers in all of our classrooms for all of our campuses. There is a 2-3 year-old classroom; several 3-6 year-old classrooms, an a kindergarten Yurt classrooml.
We are currently accepting applications to add interested candidates to our school's substitute teaching roster.
Essential Job Duties:

You should also be:

Relaxed when speaking in front of groups of up to 16 students and good at inspiring children.

Establishing classroom rules and holding each student accountable, integrating a multi-age community where all students work together.

You should be able and willing to get to know their students differing personalities. Students notice genuine interest communicated by adults.
Candidate Skills and Background Education

Preference will be given in most situations to those applicants who hold teaching certificates and to those who have completed teacher preparation courses. A bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Other preferred requirements include proven effectiveness in working with school-age children in an instructional setting and dependability.

This position is for the academic school year: August – June. Our school follows the Bozeman Public School academic calendar. School hours are 8am - 4pm.
Standard Work Day and Compensation:
GBMS strives to be competitive with the public schools for substitute teacher wages. Great Beginnings pays our substitute teachers $18-$20 an hour based on experience.
